Busy Busy Busy!!!

I haven't had much of an opportunity to blog, so don't think I've forgotten. I put in 57 hours of work last week alone and have got several more hours this week. Lately my new job has been going very well. I've certainly met many characters who are very very interesting.

Just yesterday I drove a man who is a former senator and who has met Franklin Delano Roosevelt. He also gave me a history lesson on physical therapy in America and spoke to me about never giving up. I meet people from all walks of life and all have been an inspiration to me. They talk, I just listen.

Presently, I'm toying with the idea of writing a book based on my experiences as a bus driver.

On a side note, I am also toying with keeping track of the miles that I travel in the period of one year just as a fun experiment.

Sounds like you have been busy. It's fun sometimes to just listen to someone who has a lot of life experiences. I met a gentleman at a yard sale who collects antiques and he kept me for an hour talking about his life experiences. I actually enjoyed it quite a bit.

Have a great weekend!

Wow, 57 hours! I assumed you were able to enjoy your summers off like we do. Apparently not! :) Glad to have you back, I've missed reading your blog.

I would love to read a book like what's here in your blog! And the mileage would be a great experiment. I'm keeping track of my hours this year to prove teachers work just as many hours as office people!

As a principal, let me tell you that you have one of the few jobs in the school district that I would NEVER want. You are certainly unsung heroes.

Write the book, write the book!

That would definitely be a book worth reading. I love some of the experiences that we're free to have and the people that we meet during the summer. Good to hear that you're putting it to good use. :)

Howdy right back at you, neighbor! I'm honored to meet a bus driver/writer. You guys have one of the toughest jobs in education (the bus driving part).

It sounds like you've met some interesting folks in your travels. Looking forward to hearing more!
